We stayed at the Beach Club for the first time during a portion of our Honeymoon in September of 2016, and it was everything we hoped it would be. There are a lot of things this resort has going for it, which we outline below, but like any resort, the theming and amenities will appeal to certain people more than others. If you're considering a stay at Beach Club, this review should help you make your decision.
The rooms at Beach Club are gorgeous. They're definitely the most luxurious we've ever experienced. The color palette is relaxing, and the decor is beach-y without being tacky. You'll be tempted to stay in the incredibly comfortable bed all day instead of going to the parks. Obviously you'll resist...but you'll be tempted.
We were too into jumping on the bed in our room to remember to take a picture, but this photo from Disney's site is almost exactly what our King bed room looked like. There is a pull-out sleeper sofa, coffee table, and wet bar in the area to the left of the bed that is not pictured.
Unfortunately, the bathrooms do not live up to the gloriousness that is the rooms. Although they are well done in finishings, the size is not what we would consider "Deluxe." The photo on Disney's site makes it look like the door opens out, but ours most definitely did not, and it was such a tight fit with the door open that there wasn't even room to stand between the door and the toilet. It was very difficult moving around in there with two people. Luckily we don't spend a lot of time just hanging out in the bathroom, so it definitely wasn't a trip-ruiner, but it was a bit of an inconvenience.
We had a "garden or woods view" room, but we got lucky and had more of a lagoon view. We were somewhat concerned that the sand volleyball court right outside our window would be obnoxious, but it wasn't. Apparently sand volleyball doesn't have a huge following at Walt Disney World. Go figure.
