Disney just announced that a new character breakfast will be coming to Trattoria al Forno beginning April 2nd, 2017. Reservations are now available. Characters featured at this breakfast will include both princes and princesses from Tangled, Little Mermaid, and more that have not been announced.
Trattoria al Forno is located on the Boardwalk between Epcot and Hollywood Studios, an area that is not frequented much by guests beyond those staying in the surrounding resorts. Adding a character meal here will bring some new interest to the area. Although it's kind of nice, it being so quiet right now. A menu for the character breakfast has just been announced and includes the following:
A starter of either a mixed berry parfait or fresh fruit salad, as well as a selection of freshly-baked pastries
A non-alcoholic beverage, including a soft drink, coffee, juice, or milk
One of the following entrees:
“Shipwreck al Forno”
Calzone with scrambled Eggs, Soppressata, Bacon, Sausage,
Blend of Cheeses and Sunday Gravy
Prosciutto di Parma, Piquillo Peppers, Green Onion,
Pecorino Romano and Roasted Potatoes
Tomato & Basil Scrambled Eggs,
Fresh Mozzarella, Sunday Gravy, and Roasted Potatoes
“Two Eggs Poached Under Water”
House-made Fennel sausage, Parmesan, and Sunday Gravy
over Golden Polenta and Toasted Ciabatta
“Tower of Pancakes”
Seasonal Buttermilk Pancakes with Bacon or Sausage
Oak-Grilled Steak, Cheesy Egg Torte, Asparagus,
Crispy Onions and Roasted Potatoes
“Swimmers di ‘light’”
Smoked Salmon Egg White Omelet with Spinach, Mushrooms,
Tomatoes, Goat Cheese, and Roasted potatoes
“Little Royal Breakfast”
One egg, bacon, and toast
The cost of the meal will be $34 for adults and $20 for children.
Adding some new characters to the character dining line up is a great idea. The current options are mostly limited to either princesses or members of the Fab 5, and the only prince (Prince Charming) can be found at 1900 Park Fare's dinner buffet. Rapunzel and Flynn are quite popular but not as common around the parks, so we think this will be a welcomed addition. The announcement indicates there will be a "famous couples" theme, so here's to hoping for Wall-e and Eve!
